As a Conformance Manager (d/m/w), you will support cabin conformance management for the A320 programme at the Airbus Hamburg site. The role combines quality assurance, technical incoming inspection, data-driven improvement and coordination across procurement, production, logistics, suppliers and final assembly.

Your tasks will be:

  • Act as the central interface for Supply Chain Quality Management, supply officers, final assembly, logistics and work-package teams.
  • Plan, coordinate and follow up technical incoming inspections for cabin components according to customer quality requirements.
  • Analyse inspection findings, document deviations and validate manufacturing deviations within the applicable quality approval process.
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities, identify root causes and define corrective and preventive actions to improve product conformity and process performance.
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve quality control plans, including follow-up of control-plan effectiveness and process robustness.
  • Prepare consolidated quality and conformance overviews, KPI dashboards and management information for procurement and final assembly stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the resolution and governance of practical problem-solving cases and safety-related items, while maintaining effective feedback loops with the supply chain.
  • Support inspection planning, digitalisation initiatives, operational surveillance, certifying-staff activities and customer presentations.
  • Ensure that cabin products and associated documentation meet conformity and safe-operation requirements before release to final assembly lines, plants, customers and integrators.
  • Carry out physical technical incoming inspections and communicate findings clearly within a multidisciplinary and international working environment.

VORAUSSSETZUNGEN:

The position is suited to a structured and solution-oriented quality professional with an academic or advanced technical background and initial experience in aerospace-related environments. Experience in aircraft construction, aerospace, IT or information systems provides a strong basis for the responsibilities of the Quality Conformance Manager A320 (d/m/w).

  • Degree or advanced technical qualification in aircraft construction, computer science, aerospace, industrial engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
  • More than one year of experience in IT, information systems, project management, quality management and supply-chain-related activities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality-management principles, Total Quality Management and structured problem-solving methods.
  • Experience with data analysis, quality findings, root-cause evaluation and the derivation of improvement measures.
  • Sound understanding of supply-chain processes, supplier interfaces and collaboration between procurement, production, logistics and final assembly.
  • Strong organisational skills, a structured working approach and the ability to maintain an overview of several tasks and activities at the same time.
  • Proactive, autonomous and responsible working style combined with a practical, hands-on approach and resilience in a changing environment.
  • Confident communication, cooperation skills and the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts in multifunctional and international teams.
  • Fluent German and English communication skills at a level suitable for professional negotiations and technical coordination.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace and an affinity for digital tools, KPI reporting and information systems.
  • Willingness to travel worldwide up to approximately once per quarter.
  • Working hours: full-time, 35 hours per week.
