*The Role**
A hands\-on security role owning the day\-to\-day protection of the group’s IT environment.
You’ll run security operations end\-to\-end, from monitoring alerts and leading incident response to securing identities and devices and building security awareness across the business. Three areas sit at the core:
security operations — triaging alerts and investigating threats in Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR
* identity and endpoint protection — securing users and devices through Entra ID and Intune
* security awareness — running phishing simulations and training, and handling real phishing incidents when they land
*Key Responsibilities**
own, maintain, and update the group’s information security policies
* monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts in the SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel)
* lead security incident response, from detection through containment, remediation, and lessons learned
* manage endpoint security using Intune and Defender XDR
* run the security awareness program, including regular phishing simulations
* investigate and resolve reported phishing incidents
* identify and remediate endpoint vulnerabilities
* manage Microsoft 365 security configuration and controls
* secure identity in Entra ID, including access policies, MFA, and privileged accounts
* stay current on security threats and trends, and turn them into practical improvements
* analyze security risks to the organization, propose track issues through remediation
*What We're Looking For**
hands\-on information security experience in a Microsoft\-centric environment
* experience working in a SIEM \- Microsoft Sentinel is a strong advantage
* experience with EDR systems, including incident investigation – Defender XDR is a strong advantage
* working knowledge of Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft 365 security
* Azure experience \- desirable
* experience running security awareness and phishing simulations
* calm and methodical under pressure, able to act decisively during an incident
* able to explain risk clearly to non\-technical colleagues
* curious and self driven, with a habit of keeping your skills current
* nice to have – relevant certifications like AZ\-500, SC\-200, CompTIA Security\+
