Product Integrity Engineer - Incident Investigation (m/w/d) Berlin, Germany
What to Expect
EMEA Vehicle Engineering is looking for an experienced Product Integrity Engineer – Incident Investigation, to join our team in Berlin In this role you will investigate escalations from both internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with Design, Homologation, Failure Analysis, Field Quality and Product Safety teams to track, prioritize and drive product improvements.
What You’ll Do
- Performs hands-on, on-site physical inspection of products in the field including heavily compromised HV battery products.
- Analyze trends across current and historic Incident Investigations and works with component engineers to identify and implement product improvements.
- Liaise with factory and design engineering teams to investigate failure modes and effects for issues related to safety systems.
- Prioritize, quantify and report Product Integrity topics with subject matter experts on a weekly basis with actionable data
- Take on Safety Incident Investigations and drive them to resolution
What You’ll Bring
- 5 years experience in the automotive industry or other relevant engineering experience
- Hands on experience in working on live High Voltage assemblies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain and exercise professional integrity at the highest level
- A rigorous, methodical and organized approach to tasks and documentation
- A collaborative and communicative approach to investigating complex problems
- Willingness to collaborate cross-functionally with other teams while maintaining the ability to work independently; detail and execution oriented
- Fire investigation experience is an advantage
